Self-Driving to SICTC

SICTC Driving Pass Permission Form

Students can drive without a pass on the first few days but are expected to have the 'SICTC Driving Pass Permission Form' filled out and turned in by the end of class on the second Friday of the first semester of classes. This form must be completed and turned in with all necessary signatures by students and a payment of $5. Once a completed form and payment have been received, a parking pass shall be issued for that school year. Students must place the parking pass on the vehicle's rearview mirror anytime they are parked at the SICTC.

Students can retain the privilege to drive as long they drive safely and follow the directions of the staff on or off parking lot duty. We ask that guardians talk to students about the importance of driving safely to and from SICTC. The roads and parking lots at SICTC will be congested. Students are expected to drive with extreme caution and patience. If drivers follow procedures, we will do our best to get them on their way to school or home efficiently and safely. If students do not follow the directions of the SICTC staff, parking passes will be revoked, and those students will have to use other means of transportation to travel to and from the SICTC.
Where to Park

Please see the links below for maps associated with designed parking areas and courses at the SICTC. Students should park based on the course or program they are enrolled in. Please refer to the maps, see where your student's class is listed, and find the corresponding parking lot.

Students who ride with another student must also have a driving pass approved and on file in the SICTC Administration Office.

  • Parking Lot A - Students parking in 'Lot A' will enter using Entry Point 1. Upon arriving, students will exit their cars and use caution when walking through the parking lot to their classrooms. These students will enter the school through the main entrance by the flagpoles. See the 'Parking 'Lot A' map here.
  • Parking Lot B - Students parking in 'Lot B' will enter using Entry Point 2. Upon arriving, students will exit their cars and use caution when walking through the parking lot and along the sidewalk. Students will enter the building through the entrance and use the hallway to access their classrooms. See the Parking 'Lot B' map here.
  • Parking Lot F & G - Students parking in parking 'Lot F & G' will enter using Entry Point 3. Upon arriving, students will exit their cars and use caution when walking through the parking lot. They will enter through the exterior doors of their respective classes. See the 'Parking Lot F & G' map here.

Drivers are expected to be in class and ready to learn by 7:30 (morning session) or at 11:40 (afternoon session). Any student arriving late must stop in the office to get a late pass to class.

Exiting SICTC Property

Depending on the bus and other traffic, SICTC staff on duty will release drivers from the parking lots as soon as 10:05 or 2:15. Impatient drivers will only slow this process down. Students traveling west to Highway 41 must turn left at TJ MAXX Drive & Lynch Road. Students traveling east towards Oak Hill Road can turn right at Career Avenue & Lynch Road or TJ Maxx & Lynch Road. Again, if turning left onto Lynch Road, it is imperative to turn at the traffic light to ensure safety.

Students will be given additional information on how to exit on their first day of school, which will be reviewed as necessary.
