The Veterinary Sciences Program offers students a comprehensive introduction to the field of veterinary science, providing hands-on experience and a deep understanding of animal care. Through a blend of real and simulated veterinary experiences, students engage in a variety of activities and laboratory work that cover both livestock and companion animals.
The program includes a broad range of topics such as anatomy and physiology, genetics, reproduction and biotechnology, nutrition, and animal health. Students will also explore office and hospital management, career opportunities in veterinary and animal sciences, and environmental requirements for animal care. Additionally, the program covers management practices essential for the upkeep and maintenance of animals.
Students will acquire practical skills common to veterinary assistants, preparing them for roles in veterinary offices or hospitals. With a focus on both theoretical knowledge and practical application, this program equips students with the expertise needed for a successful career in veterinary sciences.
