HVAC-R and Energy Systems

The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) Technology I and II programs offer in-depth classroom and hands-on lab experiences focused on the design, development, testing, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Students will gain practical skills in operating and troubleshooting equipment for both residential and commercial applications.

The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including system controls, blueprint reading, and the use of technical reference manuals. Students will also learn to diagnose and repair system malfunctions, as well as fabricate sheet metal components from materials like steel, copper, stainless steel, and aluminum using hand tools and machinery.

This program is designed to provide the technical expertise and hands-on experience needed to excel in the HVACR field, preparing students for successful careers in system installation, maintenance, and repair.
