The EVSC is designated by the State of Indiana as the principal school facility to provide career and technical education to students from the southern half of Spencer, north and south Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh, and Warrick counties. Students from these counties are eligible to apply for admission to any of the Area School Career and Technical Programs if a similar program is not available in their home school. There is no charge to the student for this application and admission.
Student applications are reviewed by the Career and Technical Screening Committee in late January. The Committee makes the final determination regarding students to be admitted. Applicants are notified in February and given further instructions by their home high school counselors regarding additional enrollment procedures.
Applications will be accepted after the January deadline and students may still be placed into programs that have availability. If the program is at capacity, applicants will be placed on a waiting list and if openings become available, students will be contacted.
Any student wishing to enroll in an EVSC Career and Technical Education program must complete and submit an application. Questions about schedule and application deadlines should first be addressed to the counselor at the home high school. If unable to secure adequate information from the counselor at the home school, contact the SICTC Principal at (812) 435-8438.
